This is to give notice that Housing Foundation of America, Inc. (HFA) provides financial, budgeting, and housing counseling services. We provide services for families and individuals who are looking to purchase a home or maintain their homes. Our services are provided on a one-on-one basis and also in a workshop setting.

HFA is a nonprofit corporation controlled by a voluntary Board of Directors. HFA is not owned by any individual or entity, nor does it own or control any other entity.

HFA’s services include:

Fair Housing Workshops---Know your rights when it comes to housing both rental and homeownership
Financial Management/Budget Counseling---Prepare a balanced budget to meet your individual needs
Financial, Budgeting, Credit Workshops---Overview education on how to be financially sound
Home Improvement/Rehabilitation Counseling---Understand the pitfalls and benefits of home improvements to a home
Mortgage Delinquency Counseling---Understand your options to stay or leave your home including benefits and consequences
Non-Delinquent Post Purchase Workshops---Education workshop on how to become a successful homeowner
Non-Delinquent Post Purchase Counseling---Review of debt ratios and balanced budget with current mortgage payment to allow consumer to plan for expenses that come with homeownership
Pre-Purchase Counseling---Identify the obstacles to purchasing a home and how to overcome them
Pre-Purchase Homebuyer Education---Certificate class on the home buying process
Predatory Lending Workshops---Things to look for when taking out mortgage or other types of
Mortgage Delinquency Workshops---Educational overview on options out there to help save your home or prepare you to exit gracefully
Home Equity Conversion Counseling---Reverse mortgage loans for seniors ages 62 or older

Set forth below is the actual amount of fees charged by HFA for its services, which may be waived or reduced if you meet approved guidelines. You are not obligated to utilize any services offered by HFA or any organizations that HFA may refer you to for assistance.
